The powers that be (Abuela) want him to stay away from things, and quit trying to fix things, while everything the PTB do is fracturing culture & society, and leading to the destruction of the USA (casa Madrigal). Meanwhile Q (Bruno - "we don't talk about Bruno") and his future visions of Mirabel (Trump) hold the key to rectifying the impending collapse, but he Bruno (Q) is estranged from the family (the USA) and their problems, and has left the picture for now.

Luisa (Western work ethic and culture) is losing her optimism and positive attitude as destructive forces undermine casa Madrigal (the USA).

Isabela, Miss Perfect, all butterflies and flowers, (vain but old school Liberals) is headed for a reckoning: if she follows Abuela's direction to live a fake life (an arranged marriage - the lefts fake narrative), she'll be forever unhappy.

Dolores, who hears all, is what's left of freedom of the press and speech.

Pepa, whose emotions change the weather, seems to be the feminist movement. She's so torn by events that she's become destructive to her own ends.

Camilo, who can appear & act as anyone else on a whim, represents diversions and entertainment. His excesses may be over the top, but were he to lose all his "power" life would be a bit more dull for everyone.

Antonio, a child who loves animals and communicates with them, and is very close to Mirabel, is the innocence that must yet be nurtured for a viable future.

Anyway, if Trump weren't ostracized from politics, as Abuela has done to Mirabel from the family Madrigal, his magic would instead be set loose to restore the USA to greatness.
