Irlf thats them, it makes sense that they would escape to south America because staying in the united states after their escape, it would have been just a matter of time before they got picked up by the fbi.

What i dont understand is that they were career criminals. After their escape, you’d think they (or at least one of them) would have returned to a life of crime. It sounds as if they all became law abiding citizens after their escape.

If so, I can imagine why. Perhaps the thought of spending time in a south american prison scared them straight. As i understand it, compared to the hellhole prisons of south America, alcatraz was a country club paradise.

The name of the documentary is: ‘Alcatraz: Search for the Truth’ and it was on the history channel. — I remember thinking it was interesting and kind of cool if true. :)

-I can’t remember the crimes they were sentenced for, but I had it in my head their sentencing was harsh. Although the mug shot of the blonde looks thuggish.

Dug their way out? Should do some studying on the story your assigned. The Morris brothers died in South America, I think Frank made it off the water but later died from pneumonia or some other complication.
