That the visiting woman would even open her mouth to complain about the male dog not being neutered when her dog wasn't either, is telling to her blindness to her own double standard. That his girlfriend is friends with such a person is a big red flag.

He needs to get rid of the girlfriend like yesterday. She conspired with her friend to ignore the boyfriend's wishes about HIS dog and then sided with her friend against her own boyfriend to get him to pay half the costs of the vet bills.

I disagree that the man is irresponsible. He has rules about what dogs are allowed in his property, and only while he’s there. Some people use their male dogs for siring. Can you imagine a world where every dog was spayed or neutered? No more dogs!!

The GF and her friend are completely at fault here. The owner of the male offered to pay for a kennel for the female that was in heat. Does that sound irresponsible to you?

This man owes the friend NOTHING, and could easily charge for siring fees. That’s what the friend was trying to avoid.
