If the author argued for armed insurrection he would get the unwanted attention of the oligarchs' henchmen, i.e. the FBI. So instead he asks for us to continue to do what has failed us before.
The "Iron Law of Oligarchy" shows that democracy is always just window dressing. We the people will always be too busy with our everyday chores and relationships to involve ourselves in the management of the state. The state will always be run by some small group of people in power.
Even if the current crop of oligarchs is "overthrown" they will just be replaced by another crop of slightly better or worse oligarchs.
If Christians could all get behind one sect of Christianity then we might be able to establish a monarchy with support of a state church. This might lead to a holier and more just society, but it would be anathema to all those Christians who found fault with the chosen sect, and by all those who emphasize individualism and the right to live and believe as one wishes.
Because there is no hope of reestablishing a religious monarchy, and because individualism necessarily leads to divisiveness and decadence that requires an oligarchy to maintain order, we are where we were fated to be.
Your best strategy going forward is to identify who the oligarchs currently are, find out how they want you to behave and believe, be very open in supporting those efforts where you agree with your masters, and find clever ways to avoid violating your principles when they conflict.
Our constitutional republic worked very well in the first 75 years with no “monarchy” ruling over “one chosen sect”. In those days, all believed in and most practiced basic judeo/Christian morals and ethics. ( whether Protestant Christia, Catholic or Jewish). They had internal self discipline, therefore liberty within self imposed boundaries internal moral boundaries worked. That is what is needed, not a return to neo-feudal tyranny imposed by our so called “betters”.
