All of our embassies will be displaying the BLM flag on Juneteenth. They already displayed the rainbow flag for gay pride month. The Dems are insane.
What is the source(s) of your figure?
How about fiv good reasons?
There was once a time when the, “ordinary person” could walk into the White House and other Capitol buildings freely, and speak to their representatives.
Boy, do we spoil the sh!t out of them these days. So much for airing grievances with our government.
.
It’s the flag I grew up with on my wall since a kid. I was taught to be proud of my heritage, same as having my Great-Grandfather’s picture up on the wall with him wearing a kilt and holding his broadsword.
I honor my heritage. You should too. Whatever it is.
Respectable? We had a Civil War that killed and wounded more Americans than any war in our history, including WWII. The confederate flag is not legally banned in this country.
You need to get better informed about the “War between the States” and why 11 states wanted to secede from the Union. It was not only about slavery. The vast majority of Southerners did not own slaves. States rights remain an issue today. The Democrats would like to ignore the 10th Amendment and relegate states to just administrative units. They want to get rid of the Electoral College and change the number of senators from each state from two each to a number based on population.
The States voluntarily joined the Union giving up some autonomy, but retaining control over their territory and population. The Federalist papers describe the thinking behind how the nation was formed and the basis of the Constitution, which was intended to limit the powers of the federal government by expressly providing what powers it had.
Healing the nation after the Civil War was a priority going forward. It seems like the people who actually fought the war were far more magnanimous and charitable to one another than those today who would like to demonize the confederate states. Tearing down statues and changing names serve no real purpose except to divide and incite violence.
FYI: Many of the people did not break into the Capitol, but rather, were let into the building by the Capitol police. The vast majority of them were peaceful unlike the Antifa/BLM rioters who killed, looted, and burned our cities for almost a year.
,
LOL.
You do know there are statues of Confederates in the Capitol building. The following Confederate figures are among them, many in Confederate Army uniforms.Dates reflect when the statue was given to the collection:
Jefferson Davis (Mississippi, 1931)
James Z. George (Mississippi, 1931)
Wade Hampton III (South Carolina, 1929)
Uriah M. Rose (Arkansas, 1917)
Edmund Kirby Smith (Florida, 1922). On March 19, 2018, the Governor of Florida signed legislation replacing Smith with African-American educator and civil rights advocate Mary McLeod Bethune.
Alexander Hamilton Stephens (Georgia, 1927)
Zebulon Baird Vance (North Carolina, 1916)
Joseph Wheeler (Alabama, 1925)
“I honor my heritage. You should too. Whatever it is.”
No thanks. Granpa was a brown shirt Nazi in Stuttgart. I won’t be flying the nazi flag, ever.
yada, yada, bunch of bs.
I guess if I equated the Confederacy to Nazi Germany, but that would be pretty ignorant.
We are in CWII, folks. Wake up that the enemy loves lawfare as their weapon of choice. That is all these convictions are. They are warfare executed by people in government against their enemy.
LOL at your LOL
Laughable horsecrap. Wilson was the governor of NEW JERSEY and was president of Princeton. He wanted centralized power, not decentralized power. He stood for the very opposite of what the Confederates stood for.
They probably waived a jury trial. They are far more likely to get a fair trial from a Trump appointed judge than they are from a DC Jury. DC voted 92% to 5% in the last election. It is impossible to get a fair trail from a jury of those people.
I used to think that the taking and holding of political prisoners for their thoughts and deeds, often convicted in kangaroo courts, was only something that happened in Communist and/or totalitarian countries, but never in so-called “democracies”.
Something to think about on July 4.
With malice towards none... hmm, wonder who said that.
