Any idiot who thought that the Latino vote would be handcuffed to the Democratic Party...was missing the ‘big picture’. This same issue will occur in California by 2024, with probably 75-percent of Latinos going to the GOP....if they offer decent candidates.
They have to offer decent candidates and loose the elite white rich Republican image and show some fight for values that matter to the Hispanics and that align with the conservative base....you know, the big tent stuff, but not the big tent that relies on becoming even more democratic.
The Dems thought that the Hispanic vote would go 90%/10% Dem/Rep, just like the black vote. Instead, the Hispanic voting percentages will sooner or later, and it looks sooner, go 50/50 or close to it.
Tie that into the black population being stuck on 13%, while the Hispanic population increases, making this a losing proposition for the Dems.
