I've been to Cody, WY. Very pleasant town.

At some point you might have to choose between living your life and agreeable weather and coastline.

I grew up in Connecticut, and lived most of my life there. I also knew it was the wrong place to raise children. We are now in AZ (diffrent kind of extreme weather). You might want to consider Oklahoma. It is close to Wyoming in political/cultural outlook, and isn't getting the same influx of west coasters that TX and ID are.

Connecticut is now very depressing. I tell people I am from Krypton, my home blew up.

I’m a farm boy from Saskatchewan. Then moved to BC. FL is pretty much red now and will eventually move there, and the weather’s great unless you love tornadoes. I’d rather face tornadoes and winter storms than feral leftard neighbors cause” I dont have the patience to deal with their sh*t..
