When pressed to admit where I used to live I'd say

Yes, I'm from California.
Yes, I brought my politics with me.
---BUT!---
I left that state to the left of us BECAUSE MY POLITICS ARE NOT THEIR POLITICS!!!

That’s what I did moving from Maryland to Florida — I brought MY politics with me, which, unlike Maryland’s politics, should merge perfectly fine with this state.
