it makes more sense to me to believe that Trump lost in a purple state rather than thousands of his team members conspired to hand him a loss for some vaguely defined purpose.

There's an appalling number of people today who believe a man "is" a woman because he believes he is, or because he has had superficial surgeries that do nothing to alter his DNA, so we mustn't offend him her! That doesn't make any of it true.

Same with global warming.

Or that covid vaccines are actually vaccines, or that they prevent most people from contracting covid.

And so forth. It's human to want to stick one's head in the sand and depend on conventional ideas; but to suggest that mass anti-Trump hysteria generated by well-funded intelligence agencies and funded by billionaire anti-American activists just can't possibly have been in play because it never has been before is just ostrich-level escapism.
