Once in a while, you hear about such ‘marriages’ in the states. Usually, it’s a single woman who has truly given up waiting for a good match, so she decides to ‘marry’ an object, one not even human. I have heard of people claiming to have married a mountain or a running stream.
If male, I have heard of a guy in China who married a Girl Animation he pieced together on his laptop. Sad.

Is it really that "there are no good matches" for her?

Or is it more that she is unwilling to make the effort to be a good match for anyone?

My guess is that there are guys out there who would be interested, but she wants "Prince Charming", is unwilling to settle for less, and is not the easiest girl to get along with.
