It depends. Since this revolves around a barber shop, it could’ve been a hair clip, or a clip with scissors...or maybe just a quick snip. Or maybe the perp clipped the guy in the back of the head with his gun.

But don’t ask the author of the article because he ain’t got a clue.

Besides that, it was not a malfunction.

That is always a result of an improper insertion, that is, an incomplete insertion

Always give the bottom of the magazine a rap with the free hand to be sure that it is secure.

I actually read that as the barbers clip(ers) fell out, and the guy getting his hair cut has a chance to stop him.

As far as magazines, those are usually where the people waiting are.
