People who watch NFL do not care if this guy did anything or not. They will still watch NFL. Sit on this long enough, it will go away.
What’s a Deshaun Watson?
I wouldn’t say he’s being protected. It’s June. If he actually plays come September then yeah he’s being protected. But right now the league seems to be in the “wait and see”. I think they’re hoping he winds up in jail and they don’t have to worry.
He should declare himself a transgendered woman, wrap himself in the gay flag, and be done with it.
I hate to say this, but if it were a white QB (or Jon Gruden), he would have been ostracized from the NFL a while ago.
It is more than watson. Houston Texans arranged private locations for watson to meet with the various girls. Also provided Non-disclosure docs for the girls to sign. Over 66 different girls in 17 months.
He is being protected. Other players who were accused of less then him were placed on the restricted list while theirs was an investigation. In other cases, the NFL did a thorough investigation, and it didn’t take this long. This started in January 2021. He got paid for all of last season. He got a trade and a record deal.
It depends on which team they were on. I never realized Ben Roethlisberger was black. You taught me something new.
I don’t think that’s protected. He didn’t play. And he still might not. I think the league decided their fingers got burned in the Ray Rice thing. With the suspension considered too short, then they made it indefinite, then that went to court and they lost, and in the end nobody picked him up so who cares. So what they learned there is to not under punish, but also don’t over punish, but also let things play out. And I think that’s where they are.
Awful, But it will still not hurt the NFL. IT should, but it won’t.
The NFL thought he had all his victims paid off but there’s always more 🤪
At this point anyone still watching the NFL is complicit.
That includes Freepers.
L
Bump.
He was treated differently than all the other cases, including after Ray Rice.
The NFL got a back eye, because they engaged in a deliberate coverup. They didn't get nearly as black an eye as they deserved.
Ray Rice was suspended two games because he was on one of Goodell's "status teams." If Ray Rice had been on the 49ers or Cowboys he would have been suspended for a year. But since he was on the Ravens, Patriots, or Steelers, he only got two games.
Stopped watching it years ago. Have no desire to return.
Most people I know haven’t watched a game in months.
I hate to say this, but if it were a white QB (or Jon Gruden), he would have been ostracized from the NFL a while ago.

BINGO! We have a winner!
As long as he can deliver on the field the national felons league doesn’t care.
