Yes. When I was in school it was “Suckin’ up to da crackers”. If their families (mothers) and their communities don’t value academic achievement then I don’t know what the schools can do.

They're nothing more than a daycare service that feeds breakfast, lunch, and often dinner to these "kids" because they're not even getting fed at home.
No surprise that they're turning out to be gang-banging hoodrats as they get older and either end up murdered or in prison for murder.

Then when those few who do achieve academically turn into professionals in whatever field they specialize in, those same ones with the insults of "sucking up to da crackers" now wants that successful person to come back to the "hood", and "give back".
I wouldn't even pass gas in their direction if it were me being insulted in such a way.
