“Our role is to publish books, representing both settled and experimental positions, that serve the church in its ongoing deliberations.”
I note the small letter c in church. A publisher of Christian books, no more than a pastor of a Christian Church, can be all things to all people.
“Eerdmans does not publish books that deny the existence or ignore the voices of LGBTQ people, propagate false teaching about discredited/harmful “therapies,” or in general condemn/revile LGBTQ people. Too much of that has been done over time, and we want no part in continuing it. “

Fair enough. Do they publish intelligent, doctrinally-sound books that defend the traditional Christian position on the issue? Apparently they do publish books that depart from the traditional position.
Do these people believe what the Bible says about homosexual behavior? Sounds like they don’t.
I have no idea what the original post said, but this one’s pissing me off on general principle.
“Spend Pride Month reading ____”-—uh, no. I do not observe Pride Month in any way, and you don’t get to tell me what to do.
“We won’t take a position. Accept homosexuality and transgenderism! Again, we won’t take a position, it isn’t our place.”
Very open-minded.
Eerdmans does not publish books that deny the existence or ignore the voices of LGBTQ people, propagate false teaching about discredited/harmful “therapies,” or in general condemn/revile LGBTQ people.
Then again, not so open-minded.
People in charge are likely gay
Brave of them to come out of the closet and lift a middle finger to their primary customers.
Get woke, go broke.
“an invitation to try to understand LGBTQ+ Christians”
Just as soon as they send out invitations to “understand lying Christians”, “understand drunk Christians”, or “understand adulterous Christians”, I might take this excuse seriously.
Publishers are word people. Word people tend to be liberal.
