In a time of transgenderism, this makes as much sense as anything else. Sit the kids down for a talk about the birds and the bees. Or fish. Whatever.
What do you expect from California courts that can’t even figure out what is a man or a woman?
“Actually, this misrepresents the matter.”
Yes. The stupidity came when California legislators defined “fish” as being just about any living thing on earth.
so, they’re transbees now.
Steve Lehto on youtube Lehto’s law had an interesting explanation of this.
Apparently the law included invertebrates under the Fish group.
The lower court ruled that must have meant “marine invertebrates”. But the appeals court overruled.
Lehto said that when legislation is meant to be protective like this, the courts will take a very liberal interpretation. Liberal in the sense of expansive.
Explained some reasons why you don’t want to revisit legislation like this to fix it.
Yeah, fine, bees are fish, no problem there - but what I need to know is what pronouns am I supposed to use when I’m talking about them?
I guess it stands to reason that in California a bumble bee could identify as a fish for the purposes of joining a special victims group.
No trans fish.
So I have to fish for bees with a barbless hook?
The prince was a brick, the brick was an egg
The egg was a bird
(Fly away you sweet little thing)
(They're hard on your tail)
Haven't you heard?
(They're going to change you)
(Into a human being!)
Yes, we're happy as fish
And gorgeous as geese
And wonderfully clean in the morning
