We just bought this and so far it seems to be a terrific camera . . .
EXCEPT
I have looked all over the manual and played with just about every setting, and it is still the same.
The video plays back in the camera viewer just as I filmed, but the transfer to my computer glitches it ino a zoomed video.
Still photos are no problem.
Anyone ?
It’s not a macro setting . . . I played with THAT one too
I’m sure you’ve checked the settings in the computer program you loaded the video into, but that’s the only thing I could think of.
What are you viewing it in on your computer?
One Drive . . photos
Does it come with a free cellphone like other digital cameras?
Check browser zoom level.
Hit ctrl on keyboard, scroll mouse wheel a bit.
I DID have my font up because of my presbyopia, so I turned it down to a hunnert ....AND played with the ctrl/scroll wheel . . .
STILL enlarged
Thanx anyway.
The KODAK PIXPRO AZ528 Astro Zoom Camera has 52x Optical Zoom and 4x Digital Zoom for a combined 208x Zoom. The zoom indicator on the screen will let you know when you have reached the Optical Zoom threshold and are crossing into Digital Zoom. You may turn off Digital Zoom if you do not wish to use it.
Why is it normal in the camera viewer but zoomed after transferring to PC ?
Check your monitor setting?
You may have the screen zoomed and not realize it…
To check if it's the transfer and not the device.
What software are you using to transfer it to your device?
Those new-fangled cameras got way to many pixels. You’ll need a new 56” monitor just to look at them.
Which program are you using to view the video on your computer?
Have you tried other video players?
“Does it come with a free cellphone like other digital cameras?”
LOLOL...best comment of the day! Well played.
Are there video/recording settings, on the camera, separate from still image settings?
Eliminate the application(s) as a problem.
Follow this MS advice and open the video file using the native media player for videos/pictures (if you do not have an SD card reader, get one. You’ll use it regardless).
My bet is that it will be normal and you can then move the files as you see fit. If not, consult Kodak support.
