Hah! That’s nothing. In 1969 I lived 150 miles north of Edmonton where for a period exceeding 60 days the HIGH never got above 40 below zero. The day I left Alberta to go to Regina the temp was 70 below (absolute no windchill)

I think I remember hearing about that year (1969 ) - I think I remember some places in Canada recording a 100 below temperature- not sure if that was absolute or with a windchill. I remember watching a NFL playoff between Los Angeles and Minnesota and at that time, Minnesota played outdoors. It was so cold the stands were near empty.
