So your option is to force them to bend to this guy’s inconsideration? Tell me, when two libertarians in a situation both demand their “right” to have things their way, who wins? Who gets their way when they are in conflict?
Sometimes, that’s not an option.
A little common courtesy can go a long way.
The guy eating the peanuts would not have been scarred for life to defer for a few hours. It’s not like someone was asking him to make a life changing sacrifice, for crying out loud.
The problem isn’t the people who have no control over their health issues. It’s the self-righteous, self centered (fill in the blanks) who think the world revolves around them and yet blow a gasket is someone imposes on THEIR “right” to do as they please.
It’s very hypocritical to demand your rights and let them impose on others and yet refuse to allow others the same courtesy.
A little common courtesy would have gone a long way.
And yes, we are our brother’s keeper.
Starting with the parent. The mother put the girl in harm's way, and then insists on everyone else protect her, yet the daughter doesn't wear an N95 mask which would filter out the peanut dust.
Read my other posts on this. The peanut eater was a jerk. People will be jerks. Relying on the kindness of strangers is no way to protect your child.
“And yes, we are our brother’s keeper. “
“He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother...”.
My problem is when they don’t want to be their own keeper.
Why wasn’t this mom putting a surgical mask and latex gloves on her daughter in an extremely high risk environment?
