Does anybody really not understand how devastating this is?

Of course they do.

They (let's be vague here) actually are doing it for that very reason. If you can break the cohesion of any group you make it harder for the people to resist you.

You break cohesion by introducing outsiders in large numbers, especially ones that do not speak the same language or have the same religious customs or by breaking the institutions that get these people together and re-enforce societal bonds, large extended families, churches, clubs, civic groups anything like that.

Linton-on-Ouse is a beautiful place but the RAF base there was living on borrowed time for nigh on 20 years and it is the kind of place that only really made sense as a housing estate with an operational RAF base. It’s a right faff to get to the nearest shopping center without a car. That’s the aspect that makes it ideal for the immigration policy but I completely understand why the locals are up in arms.

For contrast... Church Fenton has much better transport links (2 A roads, 2 motorways and a railway station all close by) and has two good runways (much to the annoyance of Leeds-Bradford Airport which only has space for one).

RAFCF was sold off to a farmer who operates it as East Leeds Airport - and he uses it for charter flights, flight schools and TV studios. He also uses it to fly fresh produce in from Spain.

The housing there is much more in demand for people who can get to five towns fairly easily - Tadcaster, Garforth, Selby, York, and Sherburn-in-Elmet. So, not suitable for housing migrants if you want to keep tabs on them.

The oldest liberal at our church is in her 90's from the midwest. Her home town has mainly abandoned homes with about 20 older couples or singles still living there. When a friend asked her about illegals coming to her former home, her response was:

"Good! No one but 20 old white leftovers are still in what was once a town. She said, "Pay the new comers to stay and make it a town again."

She left when she was a teenager and served in the Navy for 25 years. She returned only for her parent's funerals.
