Well the constitution isn’t very specific, but I don’t believe a person should be allowed to make nerve gas in their garage. A typical arming weapon by some contexts is a light weapon that you can carry around in public, not on the battlefield, for those “just in case” circumstances. I don’t think you should have to even need a permit to carry a rifle or pistol. Heavier weapons such as explosives that can cause collateral damage is another matter. Danger to the general public is a concern.
