My better half swears I never snore, but since I’ve struggled since teenhood (I just hit 70) with getting to and staying asleep, I asked for a sleep study.

Sure enough, they diagnosed SA (I was truly shocked) and sold me a CPAP.

I was faithfully compliant for over a year, but can honestly say I didn’t wake up feeling refreshed, more energetic, etc. as you might expect from using this device.

After about a year, the machine turned on me, hitting me every few minutes or less with weird shots of air as I was drifting off, with the result being near tortuous sleep deprivation.

I finally ripped the thing off, stuck it in the closet, and went back to my snoreless sleep cycle.

I realize my experience is anecdotal, and that no doubt many have benefited from it, but CPAP isn’t for everybody.

I had the same experience. Exactly. I tried hard...just didn’t do it for me.
