IMO an inflamed pericardium (membrane around the heart) causes back-pressure in the heart during strenuous exercise directly leading to heart attacks. There’s only so much room inside the chest around the heart. IMO vigorous exercise is not helpful for an inflamed pericardium.
Having (vaxx-proximate) pericarditis myself I’ve found that mild and prolonged exercise such as walking helps reduce inflammation and the effects of pericarditis. For me flare ups cause discomfort and sleep difficulty. Long walks help to reduce the effects. Flare ups last 10 days to 2 weeks and occur about every 6 months.
