I'm taking the hawk's side on this...it was just looking for a meal...did the
deer eat what it killed?...no, then it is a murderer and should be put down
and eaten...with a side of rabbit.

Deer was eating the hawk. They’re not vegetarians you know.
It wasn’t about the rabbit, it was about food. The deer would’ve eaten the rabbit too if it could have caught it.

So a herbivore can’t defend itself from a predator since it won’t “eat what it killed”?
Calling an animal a “murderer” is just silly either way too. Only humans can commit murder, because only humans understand good and evil, so only humans can have malicious intent.
