True. Communism is innately atheistic, as it demands no other force be exalted higher than the state. In communism human life is of no consequence or value unless its existence is justified and/or desired by the state.
We could never really attain the pure and perfect goals communism claims to aspire to because the state is run by corrupt humans and not God or even humans that are very committed to Him or His Word.
First, let me thank you for posting this complex article. As you point out, Communism is innately atheistic considering the state the highest force, and the state is run by corrupt humans. What is missing from Soviet Communism is any history of ethics and the study thereof. I have known atheists who consider if they don’t bother others and commit crimes, their lives and afterward are fine.
On the other hand I have known atheists who were very concerned about ethics and living an ethical life, not only with other humans, but in dealing with other living creatures. My father was an atheist; I saw him errupt in anger as we drove past 4 ducks thrown out along the side of the road. He raved for 5 minutes about the evil of the kind of person who would kill a bunch of ducks, and then not eat them or give to someone who was poor and hungry. My mother was an agnostic, and she would always scoop up a spider in a cup and then carry it outside, and tell me it had a right to live also. An atheist like Putin could never understand a person with a concern for the life of others as have my parents and other ethical non religious people I have met. In the late 1940s my father fought hard to prevent the Stalinists who were trying to take over labor unions and the port of NY where we lived at the time. He fought hard against the evils of Soviet Communism because he saw they were evil and anti life.
