A female news anchor wonders why hordes of men didn't rush to defend a woman from harassment on the New York subway.
On May 28, Sky News Australia posted a video titled "New York bearing signs of 'societal decay.'" The video shows a man (who seems as if he is on drugs) entering a train car and sitting next to a young woman. He then touches her without consent, grabs her, drags her around a bit, and generally is an extremely unpleasant nuisance. He eventually leaves her alone and proceeds to try to kick out one of the windows.
During the video, the young woman is seen looking at other passengers, with obvious worry in her eyes, begging somebody to please "help me." Nobody tries to help her. The news anchor, Rita Panahi, asks the question, "Where are the men?"
If I had to guess, they were standing in their place, checking their male privilege, toning down their toxic masculinity, and coping with how their Time's Up. Perhaps the men wanted a demonstration of how women are actually the stronger sex. Perhaps the threat level just did not seem that high to them; New York has a duty to retreat, after all. Besides, New York has been in the habit of arresting those who defend themselves.
Most likely, the men who were on the train did not care about this woman. They did not know her and were not likely to ever get to know her. How could it be worth it for these men to possibly be killed or maimed (it is unknown if the aggressor had a knife) for the sake of someone who may as well not exist to them?

Tribalism? Yes. I have a tribe. Tribes are self-selected non collectives. I will not sacrifice one second to a communist whether individual, group or nation.
That may be true, but I think that paints too much with a broad brush. Certainly many women are guilty of those things you outlined. And it is true that men are guilty of many things women accuse them of.
Absolutely. After all, the majority of violence is perpetrated by men, and the majority of crime is committed by men. That is also true.
There is much about the female mentality that at first glance clashes head on with the male mentality.
Many women (and some men, although most know this in their hearts) hate to hear it, but the fact is, men and women are wired differently. They just are.
From a biological perspective, it can likely be narrowed down fundamentally to testosterone, our naturally produced steroid that women largely lack, and it drives much male behavior, both good and bad.
And the way women are wired drives THEIR behavior, both good and bad.
Women are more interested in security than nearly anything else. And that is because they bear children. They have to be secure, and they have to do everything in their power to provide a safe environment for their offspring, and that sometimes involves choices that a man would be loathe to make.
Men make choices, based on different things, that seem unreasoning, cruel, or uncaring to many women. But those things are essential. When to stand your ground and fight. When to run. How to fight. Things like that.
I have long viewed men and women with that Yin-and-Yang interlocking relationship.
It is my contention that a man and a woman in union, both providing their decisions and input consensually, are far more conducive to a well run functioning society than either men alone or women alone can do, and that is because I do believe we compliment each other at a fundamental level.
Therefore, to me, it is no surprise that the family unit is squarely in the bullseye of the Left when it comes to things they must destroy to implement their tyranny.
Since the left can’t define a what a woman is how do we know the victim wasn’t a man identifying as a woman?
Had the perp been white he’d have been attacked by social justice warriors and shot and killed by police.
Being black, there will be a statue memorializing this misunderstood individual.
We all have tribes.
But, in my opinion, millions of tribes in close contact with each other will never have peace and prosperity in the long term.
Our only hope is to be more national than tribal. Like you, if that “national” is Communist or similar, I will have no choice but to go fully tribal if that is the only choice.
I am just praying that is not the only choice.
Well stated, and wholly appropriate. Thank you.
Why are they riding on a commuter train.? Is their F250 in the shop?
In the movies the women beat up men that are twice their size. So are movies fake or something?
They don't care about security. They want to sit on the couch, watch Oprah and eat pork rinds all day. As long as they get the vagina tingles but don't have to read mean things on Twitter, they are ok.
It is a conundrum, stevio.
A terrible one.
We are on the road to ruin, disaster, and strife on a scale the world has never seen before, not just here in the USA, but in the entire world.
To me, the answer must be less control on people, not more control.
I have to think on that a bit, but I feel that narrowing the freedoms of people to try to obtain safety and security, will, like a person desperately clutching harder and harder at someone they wish to return their love, be more likely to drive them away.
In the same vein, clutching desperately at safety and security by imprisoning the rights and freedoms of people will only drive us more swiftly into open conflict.
Perhaps, at this point, there is no way to avoid it. There are days when I feel that deeply.
Makes me sick to my stomach.
Let's have a discussion, don't put words in my mouth.
If you understood my post, the passage "...They have to be secure, and they have to do everything in their power to provide a safe environment for their offspring, and that sometimes involves choices that a man would be loathe to make..." would speak volumes.
To say women are not rational is nonsense.
However, it is most decidedly not nonsense to say they are not rational in the exact same way that men are. Women operate on a different rationality calculus than men do.
Like a Venn diagram with intersecting circles, there are areas between men and women that overlap and allow us to live together. But there are places where they don't generally overlap.
Understanding that there are places in rationality between men and women that don't generally overlap is the key to harmony..and essential to it.
Part of it is that there’s something in the plastic. The plastics we use have chemicals added to them that make them actually useful to us. Unfortunately, these chemicals act like estrogens in the human body. With women, that’s OK, but with men, it’s disastrous. And this effect starts in the womb.
When I learned this stuff, I stopped drinking bottled water as much. I only drink one helping of bottled water a day. The rest is out of a glass.
This is a culture in which the criminal is privileged and protected. In NYC that is at all times and in every situation. Certainly on the subway.
Then your tribe needs to start training to be better than my tribe.
Inflating tires is a no brainer.
If my tires need it, I am perfectly capable of doing it myself.
Any liberal, feminist type ought to also be able to handle it with no problem.
That’s new york. In my country, kentucky, that guy would be dead. And not necessarily via lead.
LOL, I cannot bring myself to ever drink water from a bottle unless someone offers one to me free.
I simply cannot get over the fact that someone is going to sell me a bottle of water for $2.00!
I have a bunch of plastic bottles in a fridge at work. I drink from them, and then once every two weeks or so, I wash them all out and refill them with water from a filtered unit.
I sometimes wonder what people from forty years ago would say about buying $2.00 bottles of water!
Heck. Plastic bottles may indeed be the route of some maladies...but I figure my general diet, my genetics, or even my forced vaccination will get me first.
It may not even be something in the food.
It may be by quashing a boys natural boy instincts. Making them do girlie things and not active, physically demanding, challenging, something to conquer types of activities.
I think all tribes, if that is what it comes to, would have to embark on.
If my tribe was the USA only a few decades ago, that is EXACTLY the road I would have always encouraged.
