So, even Indian rap artists (and I must confess I wasn’t aware there were any) live and die the gangsta life.

Rap culture is very strong - it translates across borders and nations without much deviation!

I find that very odd as it promotes violence and misogyny.

When I was hiking on the Appalachian trail in Maine I accidentally
stepped in a big pile of Moose Wala.
I was tired and I wasn't paying enough attention to where I was walking.

I think the Rap approach to performing has become so popular because of a few things:

Rap usually centers on complaining about what you dont have. It’s the Lazy Man’s version of The Blues.

Rap can be performed by anyone without learning how to sing, without learning how to play an instrument.

Rap performances are often made up by lifting or stealing music from professional musicians, especially if that stolen music is already very familiar to your market.

Gutter language, reptilian thinking and vulgar behavior are encouraged and applauded.

The main reason rap became big. It’s cheap to produce and highly profitable as the performers are disposable.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known around the world by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala

After being saddled with a name like Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, I can understand why he would change his name to Sidhu Moose Wala.

I hadn't thought about it like that before, but you are right. I love the Blues analogy.

Rap can be performed by anyone without learning how to sing, without learning how to play an instrument.

Now that we all knew. All you need is that jungle rhythm.

“rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.”

NPR, of all places, actually got it right!

In most cases (probably ALL cases) there is no “doctor” (licensed physician) on scene.

Therefore no one at the scene can “legally” pronounce anyone “dead”.

So statements like, transported to the hospital “where he died” are misleading. Or “He died at the hospital”.

Maybe he did, but in most cases they are already dead, but no one there can make that legal determination. A good thing. Its just that the “reporting” is often inaccurate, SHOCKER!
