Shootings were on a steep decline before the ban took effect. They continued to decline with no measurable effect during the ban— i.e., you’d expect/hope for a drop. Nope. Nuttin.
In addition, the SCOTUS has already held that banning a common gun is unconstitutional. Yeah, you might get away with banning a weird one, but not one in common use.
Such would eventually limit imposing a ban of the AR-15.
So, this is an easy sell for BeijingBiden: propose something that won’t work and is probably illegal (he is no stranger to that ploy). Then, when it doesn’t fly, he can say he tried but the terrorists in the GOP and NRA stopped him.
And, the pinheads who “voted” for him will believe it.
