Any race of beings that has the technology to cross the vast expanse of interstellar space would wipe humans out like we do to ants with raid.

I only wipe out ants that bother me. I don't want to exterminate them from Earth.
You're assuming that there is no God or creator of this universe that might come to our defense.
I "believe" there is a Creator, but an attack by an interstellar traveler (or a being pretending to be such) would certainly solve this mystery once and for all. God would either come to our aid or we would have to fight this final battle alone.
If there is a God, pity the poor stellar beings.
If there isn't...well, let's plan to fight like hell and die with honor. At least our enemy can see that in our final hour we showed courage and dignity.;-)
