The judge in the Connecticut suit is Barbara Ellis. She was also the presiding judge in the wrongful death lawsuit that several Sandy Hook families brought against gunmaker Remington. Remington stood a good chance of winning. But the insurance companies caved.
The purpose of the gizmodo article, two days after the Uvalde incident, is to refresh everyone’s memory about Sandy Hook (guns bad), to make sure that everybody remembers what a dangerous conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is, and how badly he’s getting whupped. The links below are to articles by Miles Mathis. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and I don’t always agree with his conclusions, but I’ve learned a lot from reading his papers. He provides ample genealogy/ancestry research in his work. His Sandy Hook papers aren’t heavy in genealogy, and are not light reading.
