I’m not a big fan of Communists winning. Putin happens to be a Communist, trying to restore the Soviet Union.

You must be young. So for the sake of empathy, I inform you that Putin’s Russia is not the communist Russia of the 50s. In many ways Russians are more free than us in the US. They teach the Bible in Schools and promote business. Go to Resorts around the world. You see average Russians vacationing. The communists who destroyed Russia in the Cold War left and came here. We are slowly being strangled by them while Russia grows. Yes there are bad people, but what country doesn’t have bads? Russia is for Russia…like we used to be.

You will find "average" Russians at cheap resorts in Russia's blizhnyeye zarubezh'ye (peripheral foreign countries - chiefly the most-backward former Warsaw Pact countries) - stuffing themselves at the buffet and generally behaving egregiously.

At upscale resorts farther abroad, you will find novyi russkie (parvenu New Russians). They are the ones already "in cahoots" with corrupt structures to acquire and maintain their wealth.

And then there are the Oligarchs...

Correct, and one of the earliest things that Putin did was put leashes (or worse) on the bad people there.
