I understand where you’re coming from but if you REALLY want to defend Ukraine then you need to consent to 100,000+ troops going there and fighting the Russians.
I dont think ANYONE wants a proper war with Russia and to properly defend (liberate?) the Ukraine.
A proxy type war is stupid and likely futile....
Your analysis is logical. However it doesn’t factor in the full consequences of a Russian victory.
By victory, I mean taking all of Ukraine.
The loss of Eastern territory is bad but still leaves Ukraine with a large population and army, between Russia and Poland.
Can Ukraine fall back from the East and hold defensive positions? No idea.
Can Ukraine achieve outright victory? Unlikely without direct Western intervention.
Then again, we forget most analysts thought this war would be over in a week.
Trump has ordered multiple military attacks on Russian troops.
He would be doing much more to kill Russian troops than Biden.
He has said this.
