The truck was his Grandmother’s. After he shot her he took it.
He didn’t know how to drive which explains the crash not too far away from his Grandparent’s home.

The shooter likely used his Grandmother’s credit cards to make the gun purchases.
One of my daughters had an A**hole boyfriend that ran all of her credit cards up.
He made purchases in store and on-line…….never once asked for I.D. or to see the card. Just swipe and done.
The argument with his Grandmother that resulted in her being shot could have been because she found out.
