Gives a good perspective.
He’s a little difficult to understand but aggregates all reports and videos from the front daily in order to understand the situation.
If this is true (and I have my doubts) then this would be devastating for Russia.
This would require huge troop and supply movements without Russia detecting via satellite intel or SIGINT.
I’d expect Forbes to be a somewhat reliable (although left-slanted) source.
Sounds like the Ghost of Kiev is back in action. Seems odd that any build up to attack went unnoticed. Other than it’s Ukraine vs Russia, a lot of stories coming out are sketchy. No European Land War for the US!
Next they’ll tell us they are halfway to Moscow.
Russia has supposedly striped resources from other areas to support the advance in the Donbas in order to give Putin something to offer up as success
The obsolete T62 are being sent to others place like Kherson to resist efforts by Ukes to take the area back
Reports are of growing resistance activity in Russian occupied areas
"The obsolete T62 are being sent to others place like Kherson"
It was quite a pathetic and telling sight to see those old tanks heading to the front on trains…
but, but, but, Russian media says that if Putin wanted to he would level the entire country, this is just them saving lives!
If true then:
The Ukrainian operation is "Combined Forces" which require close coordination between Air Force and Ground forces.
The Ukrainian attack planes would be flying interdiction missions, not CAS. Why? Because Ukrainian artillery would be attacking Russian infantry and artillery. The Ukrainian attack planes would attack POL and Ammo storage, as well as any Russian vehicles moving to the area.
My question is: Where are the S-400 surface to air missiles? Why is Russia sending fighters?
The S-300’s and S-400’s are in Russia proper, they don’t move them forward. Instead they’ve been depending on other short range mobile anti-air platforms, which the Ukrainians have been good at either capturing or disabling.
“Where are the S-400 surface to air missiles?”
Inside Russia.
I understand this was a low level engagement. Pretty sure the UKR pilots are smart enough to stay inside the ground clutter zone of the S-400s.
your link was to defense politics asia’s daily update (usually 20-30 minutes) yesterday DPA also did about a 4 minute update on this specific attack. A number of the Uke troops got themselves encircled in a town whose name sounds like Brewsky..
forgot link to referenced 4 min update

Excellent info & thanks!
My question was a bit of a setup. I have read many Freeper responses that the S-300’s and S-400’s are providing air dominance for Russia. Clearly not the case.
Although some of the S-400 missiles could reach the Ukrainian aircraft, the S-400 radar does not have over-the-horizon capability.
Low flying protects the fictional uke pilots from S400s?
You are decades behind the realities of SAMs.
Fortunately for them, the Russians are decades behind the realities of SAMs

I love the smell of Western propaganda in the morning.
It smells like victory!
