He was another of Burt Reynolds' co-stars. Bo was in White Lightning, Jerry was in the sequel, Gator.
Can’t confirm it but rumor has it they’re brothers, Reed being the oldest. Hopkins bio say he was adopted. I think some are claiming they had the same father.
