Do they even still exist?
Average inner-city Black grandmother is 35 years old - meaning that she was herself a "feral urban youth" only a couple of decades ago.
The phrase "God-fearing Black grandmother" conjures up images of a kindly old church-going lady. There may have still been such ladies back in the 1970s - but today?

Black families had similar demographics with whites when it came to single parent households back in the 50’s and early 60’s.
Then along came “The Great Society” and the welfare state to “take care of families”. Guess what - with the government taking care of families, the father didn’t. Especially in black families.
Today about 2/3 of black children are in a single-parent family, compared with 1/4 white kids.
