On June 1, the Detroit Tigers will host a special “Pride Night” game dedicated to “celebrat[ing] our Pride community partners, friends, and families” at Comerica Park. It’s not the first time the team has hosted a Pride Night — it began hosting a “Pride Pack Day” in 2018, originally scheduled on June 26 to commemorate “the 4-year anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage and the 6-year anniversary of the decision declaring the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional in the case of Windsor v. United States,” Outsports reported. But what’s noticeable about this year’s event is that the Tigers website offers “a chance to support a local Pride organization of your choice” when users purchase tickets at the checkout page for the event:
In an earlier era, “Pride Night” could feasibly be pitched as a basic gay-acceptance event, meant to celebrate the integration of same-sex couples into American public life. But LGBT activism has galloped to the left in recent years, and the groups that the Tigers are aligned with are no exception. Many of the groups that the Tigers are funneling ticket money to are actively promoting transgender identification — or even medical transitions — for children. A few examples:

Soon to be the Memphis Chicks With Dicks
That said, it "used to be" successful franchises had either one of two things...
Buy championships(big market/deep pockets)
OR
Have front office people who know how to recognize talent, then develop that talent.
Now, with the amount of money involved, and knowing the parasites that are drawn to that host...who knows if any of that old stuff even matters anymore, it could all (mostly) be $cripted at this point(moneyball indeed).
...(sort of like "election$" ?)
The late Mike Ilitch spent a billion + on the Tigers and got -0- rings for it. His son doesn't seem the sort to do that(can't say I blame him)and it's pretty obvious Al Avila(GM)/staff doesn't have a clue what he/they are doing in the "recognize/develop talent" dept.
Wings?...that over-spending worked for Ilitch(somewhat, they probably should have won at least a couple more cups), but purging their system of young talent to get experienced(beyond prime)players to keep that playoff record going...wrecked them(probably for decades, you know Detroit sports).
Pistons? (meh)
Lions? (SOL)
I've never been to Ford Field, Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena, don't watch them on TV(cord-cutter)...my interest in sports, in general, has waned...just a passing interest at this point.
Seeing as the Lions still draw a decent crowd, after 7 decades of futility, I'm sure the bean-counters could care less about my not spending my shekels on their "product"(s).
Whatever...I've found better things to do with my time...and my dime.
Al Kaline would not be pleased...
I used to have his baseball card.
