I remember seeing somewhere that the Patriot Act hasn’t really caught any terrorists.
Certainly not enough to justify spending billions to throw out the Bill of Rights.

It was never about catching terrorists. Just like with COVID, it was about getting Americans used to the idea of compliance. Not compliance with the law, but compliance with any arbitrary demand of the government.
