--- "The current levels of CO2 is 450ppm which is close to a geologic nadir. There is no 'problem'. I will not finish this BS article because the basic supposition and foundational idea of this peioce is flawed."

There is indeed no problem.

Hydro- and -carbon are elemental geologic and fully naturally occuring. Under pressure as with the formation of different forms of minerals in rock, hydrocarbons are created. Fossils are NOT involved, except in the myth.

A small but salient point. Fossils are themselves preserved forms in rock in various strata. They are not found as fluid to be extracted. Changing the vocabulary changes everything, as with the game which was once global cooling, then warming and then climate change but oddly still WARMING. The average Joe is swayed by storytelling. Stories then are not only entertainments and lessons, but also cons and weapons.

Without "fossil" in the phrase, fossils fuels, and with "models" being so often wrong, clear-eyed storytelling tells that we find continually more petroleum, a continuing and renewable resource from earth processes. The "fossil fuel" and "climate change" (which changes naturally) are words games for the rubes, that the socialists use to empty people's wallets. For the "greater good."

They tell me most of the crude is from plankton that dies and dropped to the ocean floor. I saw some mathematician try to calculate if all the plankton and small sea life that ever lived could be transformed COMPLETLEY into crude it does not account for the vast quantities found in the earth’s crust.

Well said. I stopped at the title use of “fossil fuels”.

I wonder where and when the idea of —and name for— ‘fossil fuels’ originated ?

Probably places like the La Brea tar pits, where actual dino skeletons were found in the petroleum bubbling up from earth’s oven underneath.

It was faulty science to assign the source of oil to decomposed dinos.

Let me take you to the next level...
I first heard about “fossil fuel” in the 5th grade.
I knew back then it was pure bs.

Now I am going to tell you why math is racist.
I have mathematically proven that the theory behind fossil fuels is false.
I went to far as to create an excel spreadsheet, with place to insert different variables, and at the end it spits out either “True” or “False”.
No matter how much I stack the variables to support “fossil fuels”, the answer is always false.

Mathematically, the theory of “fossil fuels” is false.
And that is why math is racist.

Ask the greenies why there are so many hydrocarbons on the outer planets.
