“Also, I cannot find any historical charts for rates AFTER six months.”

The next rate will be announced in Early October/late September.

You are, of course, correct about the 6 months rate.

The last rate was 7.12% which expired on April 30th.

The next rate will likely be close to the current rate as it is based on inflation.

Of note is that even if you invest on the last day of a month, the Treasury credits you for having invested on the 1st of the month...

Yes to your second post.

It seems like a very small penalty if sold prior to 5 years

(1) I understood the inflation adjustment. I could not figure out the fixed rate, which is added to the inflation rate to create the final rate.

(2) The early withdrawal penalty drops with time. However, the penalty on one year will cut the 9.62% rate to 7.2%.

Currently the fixed rate is 0.00% and has been for some time...

I purchased some of these Savings Bonds in late April which will accrue at the 7.12% rate for 6 months then will move to the 9.62% for the next 6 months which will guarantee an 8.62% rate for 12 months.

I’m fairly positive that I will keep them for some years to come.

Best to you FRiend!

Did you forget that the Nasdaq has declined more than 26% this year and US stock markets lost more than $7 trillion this year as at 13 May 2022?
Not to mention Tesla is UP a pretty solid over 5% today.

The problem for Tesla is that all the other majors like Toyota are ramping up serious competition.

Toyota was making EVS before Tesla, so how come they got clobbered by Tesla then?

Making one model of elextric is not the same as a complete line.

Making a very popular model even before Tesla started making cars, means Toyota should be ahead of Tesla in EVS. Especially since Toyota has gargantuan manufacturing facilities.
Instead they are far behind. Same applies to GM who made their EV1 before Tesla was even founded and ended up recalling them and crushing them before dumping them in the garbage heap.

Toyotas “strategy” is to get slaughtered by Tesla, who grabbed a massive 70% of all EVS sold in America last year?
After being in the market before Tesla?
What kind of dumbass “strategy” is that?

Actually I know quite a bit about Tesla and Musk.
You don't seem to know much about either, as your posts here have consistently proved.
What more nonsense do you have?

“What power to these “twitter bots” have?”

Musk sees bots as a threat. Let’s see what he comes up.

Well latest drop (last week or two) was due to removal from S&P 500... every index fund had to sell off all their Tesla shares at once when that happened... glutted the market with shares for sale.

Tesla is still one of the top stocks in the S&P 500.
Don't confuse S&P ESG with S&P 500.

“Actually I know quite a bit about Tesla and Musk.”

What does that have to do with Toyota’s strategy? That is what we were discussing. Did you forget or are you pulling the typical “look squirrel”, change the subject, when you get caught blabbing out stupid?

Its got everything to do with Tesla's strategy.
You can't talk about Tesla's strategy without knowing anything about Tesla.
Tesla is winning because they have a great strategy, really smart people, and great execution resulting in great products. Toyota is losing to Telsa in EVs because their strategy and execution have been bad.
You don't know anything about Tesla. Your entire posting history in this thread is full of bluster, nonsense and drivel.
You wanna tray again?
