Insanity. But in spite of that idiocy why was there no armed security in the school? Security personnel and law enforcement are exempt from gone-free-zones. Are they not?

How about just locking the doors. I’m boggled why we can’t even seem to provide basic security at elementary schools. In the seventies the school I went to suffered race riots and was closed for the remainder of the year. The net year there were guards at the entrances and metal detectors. This was 50 years ago. Want to stop this violence? Harden the schools, period.
