You first drive out half of your potential customers. They will rarely come back, even if you apologize and repent.
But, if you turn around, you just upset the other half of the population. You are left with NOTHING.
I know. If someone wants to pose in order to sell, well, power to them, that tactic is as old as selling. One could imagine someone in a Roman street market posing as a Roman Populist to sell to Roman Populists.
But to pose and then crap on those Roman Populists you are posing to attract? Well, that is just downright stupid. Might as well burn your money in a fire.
