I remember seeing that film with my GF at the time. Actually we left after the first 20-30 minutes. I never much cared for the soundtrack either. Seemed hokey — grated on my senses. But I’m not much into pop or fluffy music. Progressive rock and romantic classical was generally my thing.
It grates on mine, too.
