Yep. And the Forest Service personnel who live here have way too much "Pull" in local politics because there are so many of them.
I noticed today that there seem to be more USFS Enforcement personnel around than usual. No idea why.
Around here the USFS people are liked more than the BLM guys; at lest FS deal with forest fires along with ODF (OR Dep Of Forestry). BLM seem to mainly grant contracts to logging companies and sit in their office. And not answer their phones.
