Yeah, disco still sucks. Long live the prog bands of the ‘70s, Genesis, Yes, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Camel, Argent et al.
I like some of those, but I much prefer disco. My favorite song from the seventies is Cherchez la Femme (chase the girl) by Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band (1976), a disco version of Paul Whiteman’s 1920 hit Whispering. Another song in my seventies top five is Anne Murray’s You Needed Me (1978).
I can dig it. OK, I liked Donna Summer “Hot Stuff” (1979).

I also like Donna Summer's
Sunset People (1979), a song about my old stomping grounds. Shortly before that song came out, I lived a few blocks from the billboard she references.
