The other actors on Good Times really hated JW for the catchphrase. They viewed the show as a serious play on the black situation. ‘Dyno-mite!’ caused a couple of cast members to quit.
Looking back, I have to agree with them. That was the time to have the conversation.
Weird thing is John Amos who played his father is still alive and btw looks better than he does. Too bad they destroyed that show when they fired him.
