Unless this $40 billion escalates and prolongs this war until we have to get in. In that case, we are paying $40 billion as our entry fee, when we should have folded.
There is no reason to believe that Russia is going to attack a NATO country in the future.
Well the couple of $billion we spent so far has resulted in:
- Almost half of Russia's tanks and a third of their army wiped out.
- The capture of one of Russia's electronic warfare weapons.
- The sinking of Russia's Black Sea flagship and several other ships.
If we get as much for the next $40 billion, I'm pretty sure we won't have to go to war with Russia for a very long time.
There was no reason to think that Russia was going to attack Ukraine. They promised they had no intention of invading.
