The point isn’t can they but should they.

We’re 30 trillion in debt, 150 plus trillion unfunded liabilities, stagflation, rampant crime, we need to focus on our borders, not Ukraine’s, Putin won’t attack a NATO member as he’d lose, and Ukraine is full of corruption, was Hunters cash cow, 10% for the Big Guy, Soros has his tentacles deep in that country, and most of all, Biden wants an ongoing Ukraine aid to use as a shiny object to deflect attention to and away from his failures on domestic policy.

Under whose watch in Ukraine did all that happen? Not under the present government. So it has what to do with Putin’s war? Zip, zilch, nada. Do you know what % of $4.79 trillion that $40 billion represents??? I can think of dozens have $40 billion in federal spending I’d revoke, it it was material to getting the $40 billion. But it isn’t.

Nearly all the things that are the priorities are caused by Biden and can be remedied by Biden without Congress - from the border crisis on. Would not spending the $40 billion solve any of them? No. Can any of them begin to be solved before we have a GOP majority in Congress? No. So, again, not giving the Ukraine the $40 billion will achieve what???? It will achieve nothing but making the political statement that it is.
