Every condo bldg is getting checked and permitting and inspection laws are changing. Almost every bldg on the ocean over 10 years old is going to have issues and not enough in reserve. There are going to be astronomical numbers for those owners. The home roofs are a big issue, too. With some people getting roof claims paid when the insurance companies didn’t think they were covered. The lawyers and “independent” insurance adjusters are wrecking havoc. It’s a huge problem for the Governor and homeowners...
I was in the process of helping someone buy a beachside property when it was discovered the foundation was compromised. I can totally see how beachside properties have expensive maintenance issues.
