Max Boot.

It seemed like it was just yesterday he had been standing up for George W Bush, the Iraq war, the war on terror with such passion.

#19. What Olog-Hai said in post #32. There are proxy sites to link to the New Yorker article if you can't read it.DocAmazing's comment fits Boot well:

"I remember reading his stuff in UC Berkeley's The Daily Californian back in the middle 1980s and getting the impression that Boot was another dope-with-a-thesaurus like George F. Will, with added militarist bloodthirst. The bar for being a right-wing intellectual has traditionally been low."

There is "The Neocons Are Lying About Why They Hate Donald Trump" and "Giving the Boot" too.

I think Max has always had a abrasive streak. For most of his career he was able to keep it in check. When Trump entered politics the intelligentsia and power elites showed what they really think of America more than they have in years, since Reagan (naturally). They can not pretend what they showed of themselves never happened. So they are taking it out by blaming Trump and all of us for society's problems at every turn.

Max Boot is the single greatest chickenhawk alive. He has no real political party other than "War Hawk". Trump spent four years avoiding war as much as possible, the most unforgivable sin to a warmonger.

( P.S. I like that comment about George Will. At times He tries too hard and can make intelligent words sound dumb.)
