No official app for Android yet. I suspect Google is giving them a hard time. But now that the web interface is open, it’s pretty easy to put it on your phone as a shortcut. Many people do this for Free Republic by the way so many an Android person can put out instructions.

No interest in joining a social thingamajigy when the CEO of the parent company is also the CEO of a mainland Chinese company which, like all Chinese companies these days, is managed by the CCP.
I checked the website in the wee hours of this morning, before heading to bed. It still showed you had to download the phone app. It still showed the photo of the cell phone on the home page, no option to register. I see the page now gives you the option to create an account, but did you also have to download an app to your computer? If so, I’m not really willing to do that. I’m not a social media person to begin with. Never did Twitter, Facebook, etc. Tried Parler, Gab and Gettr, but deleted them earlier this year when Trump announced Truth Social. Still not sure I want to join. I don’t actually find anything redeeming about social media sites. FR offers all the socializing I care to do. I’d rather be reading a book, or doing something else. Any time I waste going through repetitive crap on a social media site is time I’ll never get back in my life.
That’s when there was the real world.
I do not have iPhone so I can’t get in.
Any idea on how long it takes to get the verification email?

Of course the more you follow, the more out of control your news feed can get. I follow about 2,000 accounts and it's impossible to keep up with all the information streaming by. But because most people post and re-post the same information, you are not likely to miss anything important.
Over when I was on Twitter, I had nearly 6,000 accounts I was following. The way I got around the noise was to build filters. For example, I would dump all the meterologists that I followed into a list and call it "Weather". Then when I clicked on that filter, all I saw in my feed was weather-related information. I then did the same for other categories such as music, politics, news, etc.
I'm anticipating Truth will bring that functionality into their platform as that is the best way to build curated news feeds.

Forcing people to sign up for an account just to be able to read posts will kill growth. Most people are not going to sign up without seeing what and who is inside. Huge mistake.
